Jimetta Mayne—Chair
For Jimetta, her “ministry” begins the minute she opens her eyes and says “Good morning, Lord!”
Jimetta was raised in Tahoe City, CA moving there in 1968 from San Jose, CA. She began her journey with the Lord at ten years old, being baptized that next summer at a Christian camp in Twain Harte, CA, one of her fondest memories.
She has been married for forty-two years to Rod. Her favorite ministry is family—she loves being a supportive wife, an encouraging mom to her four adult children, and a fun, joyous grandma to her six grandchildren. She believes that parenting a generation and empowering them through a relationship with the God who loves them is vital to see a healthy people, community and world. “Nothing tops family, it’s our training ground and practice for walking out and practicing unconditional love!”
Jimetta has been ministering to youth, the local community and active in church leadership and parachurch organizations for forty years. She is currently one of the pastors of Church on the Lake in Lake Tahoe, as well as a life coach working with international coach Tony Stoltzfus.
Consequently, Jimetta’s ultimate passion is to see people set free—to discover who they are in Jesus and who He is in them. Her joy is to see those who are set free to discover a new life in the Kingdom of God where they are fully loved. She has a heart to encourage and coach their daily walk with Jesus and develop an ongoing relationship with Him, learning how to address every circumstance and battle in their lives victoriously and powerfully, using it to their advantage to not be a victim, but grow in Jesus.
