Mario Ornelas
Mario and his wife, Debra, were born and raised in San Antonio, TX. He grew up involved in Young Life as a high school student, then served on staff in San Antonio for ten years. Mario and Debra met and married through the ministry of Young Life in 2001. They have three kids, two girls and one boy; Karolina, Emma, and Dario.
In 2006, Mario and his family moved to San Jose, CA with Young Life where he served for three years as Area Director. In 2009, for almost four years he served as Metro Director with Young Life in the Rio Grande Valley (Southern Texas). In 2012, Mario transitioned out of Young Life and moved back to the San Antonio area where he worked at a Chevrolet dealership for a year. He then served for two years as director of operations for a Christian sports camp ministry in Texas called Still Water Christian Ministries. For six years, Mario served as Area Director for Young Life in the Tahoe/Truckee area. Currently, he and Debra spend time in both Incline Village, NV and San Antonio, TX.
